Now remember “comparison is the thief of joy”, so please don’t think that my situation speaks for all accepted applicants! At the end of the day, everyone’s story is different. Just because you don’t have a 4.0 GPA or 500 shadowing hours, doesn’t mean you won’t get into PT school. Every school weighs application materials differently, so don’t feel discouraged if you are lacking in one area.
Instead, try to make up for it in other ways! I believe having a well-rounded application is much better than just having good grades or a good GRE score. Rock your essays! Participate in unique extracurricular activities! Shadow in different settings! Tailor your application to your target schools! There is no “set” application type to get into PT school, so don’t get discouraged if your stats aren’t 100% like mine or someone else’s!
