2020 has been one HECK of a year, especially for us healthcare professionals (thanks COVID)! Today I have curated 15 gifts for the health professional in your life, because they (we) deserve to be spoiled this year! Whether they’re a PT, nurse, physician, dentist, etc., I am sure they will appreciate and benefit from something on this list!
P.s. some extra ways to save when shopping online:
- Cash back + $40 with Rakuten (they also have a google chrome extension which will pull up coupons and remind you to activate your cash back offers!)
- Honey is another google chrome extension that finds coupons to help you save! You can also qualify for gift cards to your favorite places.

- City Adventurer Backpack: This is the perfect work/clinical bag! It’s a good size, has so many compartments, and is easy to wipe down and sanitize after a shift. I have been using this backpack during my clinical rotations this year and it has not let me down!
- Hydro Flask Water Bottle: Between wearing a mask for hours on end and constantly moving from patient to patient, it is difficult for me to remember to properly hydrate—my Hydro Flask has been my saving grace (bonus points for it keeping your water cold and being easy to clean)!
- O’Keeffe’s Working Hands Hand Cream: A co-worker introduced me to this hand cream and my hands are forever changed! That hospital soap and sanitizer is so drying!
- Pens: These are my FAVORITE pens (and yes you need to get an entire pack because people will try to steal them)!
- Portable Charger: The name of the game is convenience ladies gentlemen! It’s 2020, everyone needs a portable charger.
- Ember Mug² Temperature Control Smart Mug: Okay this is definitely a splurge but I know for a fact that EVERY healthcare professional would appreciate this smart mug—it even has a mobile app that you can use to control the temperature!
- Mr. Coffee Mug Warmer: Because we rarely have time to actually slow down and enjoy our coffee, and maybe number 6 is not in your price range.
- Insulated Coffee Tumbler: See above lololol.
- Keurig K-Slim Coffee Maker: Coffee. Coffee. And more coffee (’nuff said).
- Silk Sleep Eye Mask: Jon likes the sleep with the TV on, so having this eye mask has been great. This would be perfect for that night-shifter in your life (or the one that loves to nap)!
- White Coat Clipboard: When I started PT school, we received these foldable clipboards as a “welcome” gift from the graduating class; it has been so helpful during clinicals! It has MMT grades, dermatome levels, normal lab values, and SO MUCH MORE!
- Compression Socks: DVTs are not welcome here sis! These compression socks from wearFIGS are cute, comfortable, and affordable! I have struggled finding compression socks that provide the right amount of compression without cutting off my circulation, and these are IT.
- Black Man in a White Coat: This book is so eye-opening (re: race and medicine), and is one that every healthcare professional should read.
- Badge Reel: I love these badge reels from Etsy! They’re a fun way to spice up your uniform, and show a little personality.
- UV Light Sanitizer: Another splurge gift, but this would be a game-changer for literally anyone. Gone would be the days of frantically wiping down everything you own once you leave the hospital!
I have really enjoyed creating gift guides this season, so this is definitely something that I will continue to do here on the blog. Happy shopping!
